Welcome to the NH Consistory web site. We hope that you will
find this web site a good place to increase your understanding
and knowledge regarding Scottish Rite Freemasonry as well as
a current calendar of upcoming events.
My name is George Kendall Bemis Jr., or just ‘Ken’ to
all my friends and Brethren.
Freemasonry has been an
important part of my life for over 25 years. It is my distinct
honor to have been elected Commander–in-Chief
of N. H. Consistory, an organization made up of the finest men
I have ever known.
I encourage every Mason to join our organization and work with
us to continue our charitable good works.

What is Consistory? Consistory
is a body that is statewide. Consistory offers degrees from 19th
degree to the 32nd degree. A blue Lodge Mason must petition to
join a local valley for the 4th to 18th degree first. Then once
a year an reunion is held on a Saturday when a person can see the
degrees required for them to become a 32nd degree Mason. Many brothers
return in future years to fill in on the degrees that were not
offered the day they became a 32nd degree Mason and this is why
it is called a reunion. The office for administration of Consistory
is in the Nashua Masonic Temple building. The head of the body
is called Commander-in-Chief. |
