What is Consistory? Consistory confers the fourteen degrees from the 19th to the 32nd. A Master Mason must petition to join a local Valley for the 4th to 18th degrees first. Then once a year a Reunion is held to confer the degrees required to become a 32nd degree Mason. Many brothers return in future years to see or take part in the degrees that were not offered the day they became a 32nd degree Mason, which is why it is called a Reunion. The office for administration of New Hampshire Consistory is in the Nashua Masonic Temple building. The head of the body is called Commander-in-Chief.
